AN EXTRAORDINARY PARTNERSHIP.

Rita, Anton and Greg met at Greg Natale’s book launch, he was invited to a tea ceremony in Kaolin’s showroom where the idea of collaborating was born. From its conception to the China launch, the process happened at remarkable speed.

The whole process involved mutual learning and working together to recognize design aesthetics. Greg knew from seeing Kaolin’s capabilities in replicating the

finest marble-look porcelain that Kaolin was capable of translating his ideas into design-forward creations. Greg explained how he encouraged Kaolin in terms of pattern, texture, and colour. Layering his distinctive use of metallic inlays in the tile design, which is Greg’s design DNA, produced amazing results.

Rita elaborated on the technicalities of creating the colour red, and how tricky it is to get the firing and the glaze just right to produce the rich colour. Most of the textures involve complex manufacturing processes, this collaboration represents a fusion of technical expertise and creative genius, resulting in a collection that sets new standards in the industry.
