The warm, edible softness of Tianbai, the luminous white glaze perfected in the Yongle court of the Ming—pale as moonlight, gentle as cream. It is the colour of humility and grace, equally at home in an emperor's hall and on a family table. Its quiet depth comes from a low-iron glaze fired clean and clear, the body and surface tuned so finely that light seems to sink into the glaze and gather, softly, in every crackle line.
